I’ve been branching out in knitting recently, but before I show you my exciting first pair of socks, I have a few more basic scarves to show off.
This one’s a basic garter stitch scarf that my boyfriend requested. He saw me knitting one for myself and thought he needed one! The yarn is Wool of the Andes Tweed from KnitPicks and it’s perfect for a scarf. I don’t know if I would want to wear it as a sweater, but it was lovely to knit with for this project.
The chevron scarf is still a WIP. I have put it aside for a while since they’re really spring colors and I have other exciting projects to work on! I just love the pattern though, and it only takes one skein of yarn – score!
This was the first lace scarf I ever made. Also about the 2nd or 3rd thing I’d ever tried knitting. I had no idea what I was doing but it worked out pretty great anyway!
This pic shows the color much better! I’ve found that I keep picking out similar colors in my knitting projects. I guess there’s just something about teal yarn? Normally I like more variety!
I learned the basic knit and purl stitches from a fellow actress in a play I was in in 5th or 6th grade, but other than that I am self taught! The internet is really a beautiful resource!
